Description

On November 19, 2022, James Timothy Woods, a bright 17-year-old high school student, attended the 20th Anniversary Destination HBCU College Fair. Tragically, later that evening, James fell victim to sextortion, a hidden and devastating cybercrime. In response to their unimaginable loss, his parents, Tamia and Timothy Woods, founded the Do It for James Foundation to educate parents, students, and communities about the dangers of sextortion. In this heartfelt and informative workshop, the Woods will share their personal story, shed light on this modern threat, and provide tools to recognize and prevent it. Learn how their foundation has turned tragedy into action through awareness campaigns, scholarships, and community outreach. Together, we can honor James’s memory by creating safer digital spaces for our youth.
